So apparently Metallica has a guitar hero game coming out. I'm not sure what to make of this news, as my feelings on them has fluctuated so wildly over the years that it now seems to have come to rest on pure apathy. But that doesn't change my love of their early work, and the track list seems to show a good sampling of their catalog:
Enter Sandman - Metallica
For Whom The Bell Tolls - Metallica
Fuel - Metallica
Hit The Lights - Metallica
King Nothing - Metallica
Master of Puppets - Metallica
No Leaf Clover - Metallica
Nothing Else Matters - Metallica
Sad But True - Metallica
The Unforgiven - Metallica
Where I May Roam - Metallica
No Excuses - Alice in Chains
Turn The Page - Bob Seger
Hell Bent For Leather - Judas Priest
Demon Cleaner - Kyuss
Tuesdays Gone - Lynyrd Skynyrd
Blood and Thunder - Mastodon
Armed and Ready - Michael Schenker Group
Mother of Mercy - Samhain
Black River - The Sword
Did you know that "according to Activision CEO Bobby Kotick, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith has made more money for the band than any sales of their previous albums"? So either those games create a LOT of cash, or I grossly overestimated Aerosmith's commercial success in the past couple of decades.

It would probably be a fun game to play, but I'll do whatever I can to avoid adding my hard earned cash into Metallica's coffers. I do believe they tried to sue over Guitar Hero III for featuring their song "One." Apparently one arm of their evil empire didn't realize the other had granted the rights.
I will not post a link to verify this comment as that's all the time I want to spend on Metallica.
To be fair, I did enjoy them immensely circa the Black Album. I was never much into them before than and even less to since. But I will admit when they're on, they're really fucking on. Just if they could find away to blow up that little piggy Lars.
